Gorilla-Spotting

In a recent series of groundbreaking experiments, volunteers were shown a short film of people playing basketball and asked to count the number of passes. Halfway through, a man in a gorilla suit wanders in, beats his chest and walks off. Remarkably, almost none of the volunteers noticed him.

Would you have spotted the gorilla? In truth, we all have psychological blind spots that make is miss the obvious, but the good news is that we can train ourselves to be more aware of the opportunities hidden beneath our noses. Bestselling author Professor Richard Wiseman shows you how to:
- Maximize the opportunities in your personal and professional life
- Come up with innovative ideas at work and react flexibly to problems
- Change the way you see the world - and how it sees you

Switch out of auto-pilot into gorilla-spotting mode!

1. Have a primed mind + open eyes
2. Find new perspectives
3. Be seriously playful
4. Be wide awake + curious
